Carpet

Carpet manufacturers recommend weekly vacuuming and professional hot water extraction every 12 to 18 months. Referencing your carpet manufacturer’s warranty information will make sure the warranties they offer stay in effect. For hot water extraction, select a reputable cleaning company that uses truck-mounted equipment. We are happy to offer recommendations if you would like a referral.

The correct spot cleaning method is determined by the material that is affected by the spill. Contact us and we can help you determine the best methods for cleaning. Highly absorbent white towels or paper towels are always good items to have on hand.

Hardwood

Today’s wood flooring finishes are extremely durable. Normal dry sweeping to remove any abrasive sand and grit will keep your floors looking new for many years. The use of floor defenders on the bottoms of chairs and heavy furniture will also help to ensure long-term beauty. We recommend the use of Bona® Hardwood Floor Cleaner when you need to refresh your floors. We also recommend Resista® Floor Care products, which are available in our stores. Use caution and avoid excess moisture when cleaning your floor since repeated use will raise the grain of the wood.

Whenever possible, refer to the recommended cleaning procedure of the manufacturer of your wood flooring. Contact us and we can provide you with the information.

The use of floor defenders on the bottoms of chairs and heavy furniture is also recommended for protecting your laminate. We are always willing to provide additional maintenance information if needed.

Using a neutral pH cleaner in warm water will keep your tile clean without leaving residue behind. Use that same solution for scrubbing grout lines with a nylon scrub brush. Changing your cleaning water often will keep from spreading the dirt around. Contact us and we can assist you with that information.
